Job summary

Onterris is seeking a Field Operations Manager to lead a 20+ person team across multiple water treatment facilities and field locations in California. The role involves ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient operations with regular travel between Santa Clarita and Corona.

The position offers a compensation range of $100,000 to $140,000 based on experience and location. You will oversee daily operations, maintenance, and performance of wastewater treatment systems, coordinate inspections, mentor

Qualifications

10+ years of treatment operations experience in environmental, oil & gas, landfill or power industries preferred.
Experience with wastewater treatment equipment and HVAC systems.
Proven experience with OSHA safety standards, mechanical and electrical systems development, engineering, and project management regulations, practices, and codes.
Proficient with spreadsheets and databases (Microsoft Office).
Excellent time management, organizational, and technical communication skills.

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 20+ operators and field personnel with a culture of safety and operational excellence.
Oversee daily operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment facilities and field equipment.
Provide hands-on leadership in troubleshooting processes and equipment including pumps, motors, blowers, filtration, chemical feed, instrumentation and SCADA.
Direct preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to maximize reliability.
Monitor water quality and compliance with regulatory and client requirements.
Coordinate field activities, staffing, scheduling and budgeting.
Lead responses to equipment failures, process upsets, and outages.
