Job summary

Onterris Payroll, LLC in Santa Clarita, CA is seeking a Field Operations Engineer to lead field engineering and operations of our water treatment technology at a customer site. This role offers a path to impact-driven projects within a growing environmental solutions team.

You will oversee commissioning/start-up, coordinate a team of operators, ensure safety, and deliver site reports. A Bachelor's in mechanical or chemical engineering and 3-5 years of commissioning experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or chemical Engineering or equivalent
• 3-5 years of commissioning and start-up experience of large capital projects in environmental, construction, oil & gas, chemical, or power industries preferred
• Familiarity with industrial piping systems, water treatment equipment, or distillation equipment is preferred
• Proficient with spreadsheets and databases, Microsoft Office software, etc.
• Excellent time management, organizational, and technical communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience taking responsibility for high level tasks and driving all sub tasks to rapid conclusion with autonomy.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record and reliable transportation to the site
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to interface with cross-functional teams and all levels of personnel.

Responsibilities

• Lead field engineering to support oversight of our design and systems

• Inspect equipment on site and document issues carefully

The Field Operations Engineer

The Field Operations Engineer will be responsible for the field engineering and operation of our innovative and state of the art water treatment technology at a customer site in Santa Clarita, CA. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a rapidly growing, top notch, cutting-edge team that's looking to make a positive impact on the world.

Annual salary ranging from $90,000-$130,000, commensurate with accomplishments, performance, credentials and geography.

A Day in the Life

As a key member of the field team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:

• Leading:the field engineering that supports the oversights, operation and management of our design and systems
• a dynamic team of operators and field technicians traveling to the site to support the field engineering and operations efforts
• the preparation of the onsite team weekly and daily for the tasks that need to be executed to stay on track with the project schedule
• the commissioning and start-up of all new systems, focused on the technical and project specifications
• the inspection of equipment delivered to the site, and document issues carefully and thoroughly
• Follow up with suppliers to remedy issues related to procured equipment
• the scheduling and coordination with the customer and other on-site contractors to manage normal operations
• Daily reports to the client and internal project team for site status and progress
• Accurate and timely reporting for onsite conditions and tasks are completed; process and site condition changes, treatment completed, treatment schedule forecasting.
• Onsite Safety compliance and adherence for our team and associated subcontractors supporting the site.
• Development of additional safety literature as applicable, Job Hazard Analysis, Management of Change reviews, Health and Safety plan amendments.
• Organizing & supporting:development and management of on-site staffing schedules the review and development of drawing packages, documents, and equipment included in the project; the effort to supply copies of inspection, test, and system operations reports; project team meetings by providing pertinent updates on progress; detailed operational planning to support site 24/7 operations.
• Developing:Additional technologies and strategies on site to improve system operation. relationships with stakeholders onsite, including vendors, client operations staff, and the operations team.

Your Expertise and Skills
