Job summary

Onterris Payroll, LLC is seeking a Field Service Technician to implement water and vapor treatment technologies in the field and support project managers on scope and safety. The role requires hands-on environmental engineering application, operation of equipment, and strong collaboration with engineering staff to ensure safe, compliant field work.

The position involves up to 75% travel, lifting up to 50 pounds, and regular field monitoring using sensors and sampling methods.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of mechanical/electrical troubleshooting, monitoring, sampling and basic evaluation.
• Valid Class C driver license with clean record.
• NFPA70E training or willingness to complete.
• HAZWOPER certification with 40-hour course and annual 8-hour refreshers.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Able to interface with cross-functional teams at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Perform O&M on environmental treatment equipment and process units.
• Understand hydraulics, mechanics, and instrumentation/electrical control schemes.
• Assist fabrication and bench/pilot testing equipment setup.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems.
• Collect samples and operate field monitoring equipment (PID/FID, pH, EC, DO, GEM, turbidity).
• Record operational data and prepare field reports and data sheets.
• Maintain regulatory handling of samples and deliver to lab.
• Communicate site conditions and activities with Project Managers.
• Interact with clients as a front-line company representative.
• Support continuous improvement programs and training.
