Job summary

Amazon is seeking Operations Engineering Field Execution Interns for an on-site, part-time internship (20 hours/week) during Spring 2027 at a fulfillment center under construction. The role shifts to a full-time 12-week internship (40 hours/week) in Summer 2027 with potential travel to centers across the United States.

Interns will support medium-scale automation projects, coordinate with internal teams and vendors, and help drive process improvements in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program with anticipated completion Dec 2027–Aug 2028.
• Available to work on-site at assigned fulfillment center locations.
• Willing to travel up to 80% across the United States during summer months.

Responsibilities

• Drive intern project to support a process improvement recommendation using data.
• Support design and execution of medium scope automation projects (high-speed sortation, conveyors, robotic work cells).
• Coordinate design between internal teams and vendors (equipment specs, material flow, site layout).
• Document budget and contract details (RFPs, change orders, POs, invoicing).
• Oversee system commissioning and testing activities with reporting of results.
