Job summary

Caregiver Inc. is seeking an Area Director to lead operations across designated programs in our Memphis markets. The role requires regular travel to on-site locations, ensuring safe, compliant, person-centered care and high-quality outcomes.

You will supervise program operations, onboarding, staff development, and collaboration with health partners to maintain survey readiness and regulatory compliance across facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Healthcare Administration, Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of progressive leadership or supervisory experience.
• Hands-on experience with person-centered planning, IPP/Person-Directed Plans preferred.
• Experience supporting/regulatory surveys, audits, or inspections.
• Strong leadership, communication, and Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations across assigned programs to ensure safe, compliant, person-centered care.
• Partner with stakeholders to implement IPPs and ensure health and safety needs are addressed.
• Conduct routine site visits to verify conditions, life safety, and policy adherence; drive corrective actions.
• Recruit, interview, onboard, and train staff; ensure competency and regulatory compliance.
• Manage staffing, timekeeping, and credential maintenance for staff.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive census growth and client onboarding.
• Coordinate care with service coordinators, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure documentation quality and timely reporting (notes, MARs, logs).
• Support surveys/inspections and develop plans of correction with QA.
• Monitor authorizations and service utilization; adjust as needed.
• Maintain effective communication with guardians/families and document updates.
