Job summary

Sustainment & Restoration Services (SRS) is hiring a Geologist, Engineer, or Environmental Scientist at the Walnut Creek office. This in-person role includes periodic work-from-home flexibility, supporting environmental remediation projects across California and beyond.

The successful candidate will work both in the field and the office, assisting with planning, sampling, data analysis, and technical reporting while collaborating with the Technical Lead to meet project objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Engineering, or Environmental Science with 3–5 years of field sampling experience or Master’s degree with 1–3 years of field sampling experience.
• Ability to gain access to DoD project sites (US citizen with ability to pass a federal background check).
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record and ability to travel regularly.

Responsibilities

• Prepare project planning documents (work plans, quality control plans, health and safety plans, sampling and analysis plans).
• Conduct fieldwork preparation, procurement of subcontracts, materials, equipment, and scheduling subcontractors/vendors.
• Support environmental compliance in Wastewater, Storm Water, Groundwater, and Solid Waste programs through documentation and data analysis.
