Hydrogeologic, Inc. is seeking a Geologist III in Pleasanton, CA, to support environmental investigation, remediation, and deputy project management for federal/state clients.

The hybrid role requires three days in the Pleasanton office and provides opportunities to work on varied sites across the western United States. The candidate should have at least 6 years in environmental work, a geology-related degree, and PG or progress toward PG within a year.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years’ experience in the environmental field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Geophysics, or related field.
• PG or ability to obtain PG within one year.
• Strong writing and document review skills with experience in technical reports and work plans.
• Coordination of field subcontractors for environmental investigation/remediation.
• OSHA HAZWOPER certification.
• Ability to adopt new digital tools to improve project delivery.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Excellent written and oral communication and organization.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Developing and providing technical review of planning documents and deliverables for environmental investigation and remediation projects.
• Interfacing with program and project managers, government customers, and RA Contractors.
• Developing technical skills for long-term growth and development.
• Managing characterization and remediation projects for Federal clients.
• Overseeing and assisting with preparation of project deliverables including remediation work plans UFP-QAPPs, FSPs, RI/FS Reports, SSHP/HASPs, and technical memoranda.
• Performing / conducting field subcontractor oversight inclusive of drilling, monitoring well construction, waste transportation and disposal, and heavy equipment operation.
• Assisting with data entry, analysis, and interpretation of environmental data using statistical and visualization tools.
• Utilizing approved digital and AI-assisted tools, where appropriate, to support technical documentation, data analysis, project communications, and workflow efficiency.
• Providing technical support during investigation, planning, and execution phases.
