Job summary

Kiewit in the United States is seeking an Entry Level Field Engineer to support field operations across a variety of infrastructure projects. You will assist in drawing interpretation, takeoffs, plan preparation, and on-site coordination in a safety-forward environment.

Qualifications

• Willingness to travel and relocate to multiple cities as needed for national projects.
• Associates, Undergraduate, or Graduate degree in civil engineering, construction management or related field.
• Infrastructure/Heavy Civil project experience is preferred.
• Ability to access construction sites in varied climates and environments.
• Strong work ethic and initiative; committed to safety and ethics.
• Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication; teamwork focus.
• Valid Driver’s License is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and supervision.
• Perform quantity calculations by measuring and estimating completed work.
• Assist in preparing work plans, packages, and daily labor timekeeping.
• Support field surveying, layout, and as-built data compilation.
• Assist in Job Hazard Analysis and safety reviews.
• Participate in equipment/material deliveries and scheduling on site.
• Coordinate work groups and supervise field operations.
• Support office engineering with data, submittals, and cost reporting.
• Assist in change orders and cost data reviewed by the Project Manager.
