Job summary

IOC Company LLC is seeking an Office/Field Engineer for heavy civil, highway, and construction projects in Edinburg, TX. You will track quantities and costs, support between engineering and construction, and lead site safety and project reporting.

Requirements include a civil engineering degree, 0–2 years of experience, and the ability to travel up to 75%. Texas driver’s license and insurance required; bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Equal opportunity employer with a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
• 0–2 years of experience on similar construction projects.
• Must be able to travel to and from locations; traveling 75% of the time.
• Valid Texas Driver's license and valid insurance.
• Experience in highway or road construction is recommended.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect construction activities for quality and compliance with plans and specifications.
• Enforce safety program and adhere to OSHA regulations.
• Provide technical assistance, including interpretation of drawings and recommended construction methods.
• Audit installation progress and suggest improvements.
• Develop and review plans, specifications, and detailed project notes for heavy construction projects.
• Oversee on-site construction activities to ensure compliance with design and timelines.
• Prepare time sheets and daily/weekly project reports and labor projections.
