Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction-related field preferred; plus 1+ years of civil engineering drafting/design experience
• Associate degree in Construction Technology or related field with construction inspection experience also considered
• Candidates must have valid driver’s license and ability to work with contractors and public while maintaining safety and quality standards

Responsibilities

• Support design, planning and management of capital infrastructure projects; prepare drawings, specs, bid documents and project scopes
• Conduct field inspections and construction observations; document progress and contractor activities; participate in project meetings
• Frequent field visits to job sites; communicate issues to supervisor and project team
• Maintain safe work environment and report hazardous conditions promptly
• Update professional knowledge through continuing education activities and certifications
• Perform related duties as assigned or apparent
