Job summary

PROENERGY is seeking an Operation & Maintenance Engineer to lead capital and major maintenance projects at our Houston facilities. You will develop five-year plans, perform ROI analyses, and coordinate with plant operations and third‑party contractors.

The role requires a BS in engineering, at least five years in power generation, and a strong background in project finance and cross‑functional communication.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Five years of power generation experience.
• LM6000 technology experience preferred.
• Quantitative thinker with a technical background for analysis and decision making.
• Strong background in project finance analysis.
• Demonstrated track record delivering internal improvement projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across teams.
• Organizational and multi‑tasking abilities for managing multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Establish ownership of the capital and major maintenance project portfolio to align with long-term goals.
• Perform ROI calculations to support budgeting and justification.
• Lead critical fleet projects and manage third‑party contractors.
• Provide project planning, oversight, and scheduling across sites.
• Track costs and manage supply chain for projects.
• Provide routine reporting on project status and milestones.
• Lead post‑project and post‑outage reviews to validate results.
• Support plant operations with engineering and reliability improvements.
