Job summary

Hamilton Barnes Associates Limited is seeking an experienced Field Maintenance Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot fiber, Ethernet, and wireless network infrastructure across residential and commercial environments in New York City.

You will gain hands-on exposure to a range of networking technologies with significant independence in the field and long-term progression opportunities within a growing ISP.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of low-voltage/telecom experience.
• Strong Cat5/Cat6 installation and termination.
• Fiber splicing and troubleshooting experience.
• Wireless networking experience.
• Router and switch configuration knowledge.
• PTP/PTMP wireless radio experience.
• Strong independent troubleshooting ability.
• Comfortable working on rooftops and ladders.
• Ubiquiti, MikroTik or Siklu highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Install and terminate Cat5/Cat6 cabling.
• Splice, terminate, and troubleshoot fiber.
• Install and configure wireless access points.
• Configure routers, switches, and network equipment.
• Deploy and align PTP/PTMP wireless radios.
• Troubleshoot network and connectivity issues.
• Test and document completed installations.
• Maintain clean, professional network installations.
