Job summary

Witt/Kieffer seeks a Field Network Engineer to install, support, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure across LAN, WAN, WiFi, and VoIP systems. The role requires coordinating with IT teams, vendors, and site leadership to ensure reliable, secure network services across Long Island sites.

The position involves on-site and remote work, travel to sites, and handling outages, equipment upgrades, and documentation.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Associate degree with demonstrated network experience totaling at least 6 years.
Experience supporting enterprise LAN, WAN, WiFi, routers, switches, cabling, and related field operations.
Strong communication, coordination, documentation, and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to travel extensively to sites throughout Long Island.

Responsibilities

Install, support, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, WiFi, routers, switches, cabling, and SD-WAN.
Provide on-site and remote support to IT teams, vendors, site administrators, and business customers.
Respond to outages and service-impacting issues; open and manage tickets through resolution.
Document installations, patching, equipment, and update status records.
