Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Travel up to 50% for onsite network and operational needs.
• 5+ years of hands-on network engineer experience.
• CCNA/CCNP desirable; CCIE/CISSP highly preferred.
• Deep understanding of networking protocols (IPsec, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS).
• Experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, Cradlepoint, Starlink hardware and network management tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, implement, install, monitor and maintain LAN, WAN, and WLAN infrastructure with a focus on cybersecurity and safety and operational efficiency in an O&M plant environment, ensuring network safety and performance.
• Maintain and optimize networking systems applying in-depth technical knowledge to ensure efficient, secure, and reliable network performance.
• Implement and enforce cybersecurity principles and best practices, with a focus on protecting networks and systems while ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
• Monitor traditional, cellular and satellite network performance, capacity and security, identify potential issues, and provide solutions to ensure networks are operating efficiently.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues.
• Maintain and update network documentation, diagrams, and procedures.
