Job summary

Essintial Enterprise Solutions, LLC is seeking a T2 Technician to provide hands-on network, cabling, and field technology support at commercial customer sites in the Greensboro area. You will work independently on network infrastructure while handling day-to-day field service tasks, including POS support and hardware deployment.

The role requires flexibility to move between cabling, network installation, end-user support, and general field technician work based on daily needs.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in low-voltage cabling, telecom, IT support, or related field.
• Hands-on Cat5e/Cat6 installation, termination, testing, labeling, and troubleshooting.
• Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, PoE basics.
• Ability to work independently with network infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Windows OS and basic IT troubleshooting.
• Ability to read diagrams, port maps, and project docs.
• Proficiency with cable tools and basic diagnostics (ping/traceroute).
• Strong communication, documentation, and customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening.
• Availability for early-morning starts; weekend flexibility; travel up to 75%.
• Able to lift 50 lbs, work on ladders up to 12 ft; climb ladders; operate scissor lift if needed.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, test, label, route, dress, and troubleshoot Cat5e/Cat6 cabling.
• Install and support racks, patch panels, standard switches, routers, firewalls, wireless APs, faceplates, and related equipment.
• Provide deskside support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals.
• Assist with desktop and laptop deployments, imaging, upgrades, and hardware replacement.
• Support user account setup, password resets, and basic application troubleshooting.
• Troubleshoot cabling, connectivity, hardware, software, and end-user issues.
• Read and follow wiring diagrams, port-mapping tables, technical instructions, and project procedures.
• Use deployment tools and document results.
• Coordinate professionally with customers, site contacts, and project teams.
• Complete photos, work orders, tickets, and project documentation on time.
• Follow safety requirements and maintain a clean, professional work area.
• Travel to customer locations and work flexible schedules based on business and project needs.
