Job summary

Essintial Enterprise Solutions, LLC is seeking a T2 Technician to provide hands-on network, cabling, and field technology support at commercial customer sites. You will work independently on network infrastructure and perform POS support, deskside and hardware deployments, troubleshooting, and documentation.

Role requires flexibility to move between cabling, network installation, end-user support, and general field technician work.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in low-voltage cabling, telecommunications, IT support, network installation, field services, or related discipline.
• Hands-on experience with Cat5e/Cat6 installation, termination, testing, labeling, and troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, PoE, and basic firewall and switch concepts.
• Ability to work independently with network infrastructure and complete tasks without continuous on-site supervision.
• Familiarity with Windows OS and basic IT troubleshooting steps.
• Ability to read and follow technical instructions, diagrams, port maps, and project documentation.
• Proficiency with standard cabling tools and basic network diagnostics (ping, traceroute).
• Strong communication, documentation, and customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening.
• Weekend flexibility; regional travel up to 75% as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work 8+ hour shifts.
• Willingness to operate a scissor lift with safety training provided.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, test, label, route, dress, and troubleshoot Cat5e/Cat6 cabling.
• Install and support racks, patch panels, switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless APs.
• Provide deskside support for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
• Assist with desktop and laptop deployments, imaging, and hardware replacement.
• Support user account setup and basic application troubleshooting.
• Troubleshoot cabling, connectivity, hardware, and software issues.
• Read wiring diagrams, port maps, and project procedures.
• Use deployment tools and document results; coordinate with customers and project teams.
• Complete photos, work orders, and documentation on time.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area.
• Travel to customer locations and adapt schedules as needed.
