Job summary

Essintial Enterprise Solutions, LLC is seeking a T2 Technician to deliver hands-on network, cabling, and field technology support at commercial sites. You will work independently on network infrastructure and handle day-to-day field service tasks, including POS support and workstation deployment.

Flexibility to move between cabling, network installs, end-user support, and general field technician work is required to meet daily project needs.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in low-voltage cabling, telecom, IT support, field services, or related discipline.
• Hands-on experience with Cat5e/Cat6 installation, termination, testing, labeling, and troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, PoE, and basic firewall/switch concepts.
• Ability to work independently with network infrastructure and complete tasks without constant supervision.
• Familiarity with Windows OS and basic IT troubleshooting steps.
• Ability to read diagrams, port maps, and project documentation.
• Proficiency with standard cabling tools and basic network diagnostics (ping/traceroute).
• Strong communication, documentation, and customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, test, label, route, dress, and troubleshoot Cat5e/Cat6 cabling per project specs.
• Install and support racks, patch panels, switches, routers, firewalls, wireless APs, and related gear.
• Perform daily field technician tasks including POS, kiosk, workstation, and peripheral support.
• Provide deskside support for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
• Assist with hardware deployment, imaging, and workstation setup.
• Support user accounts, password resets, and basic app troubleshooting.
• Troubleshoot cabling, connectivity, hardware, and software issues.
• Follow wiring diagrams and project procedures accurately.
• Document results using deployment tools and tickets.
• Coordinate with customers and site contacts; ensure timely project documentation.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, professional work area.
• Travel to customer locations and adapt schedules as needed.
