Job summary

Essintial Enterprise Solutions LLC is seeking a T2 Technician to provide hands-on network, cabling, and field tech support at commercial customer sites. You will work independently on network infrastructure while handling POS support, deskside support, imaging, and hardware deployment.

The role requires flexibility to move between cabling, network installation, end-user support, and general field work. Travel up to 75% is expected, with early starts and weekend availability as needed.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in low-voltage cabling, IT support, or field services.
• Hands-on Cat5e/Cat6 installation, termination, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, PoE, and basic firewall/switch concepts.
• Ability to work independently with network infrastructure and complete tasks without on-site supervision.
• Familiarity with Windows operating systems and basic IT troubleshooting steps.
• Ability to read diagrams, port maps, and project documentation.
• Proficiency with standard cabling tools and basic network diagnostics (ping/traceroute).
• Strong communication, documentation, and customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; ability to travel regionally up to ~75%.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, test, label, route, dress, and troubleshoot Cat5e/Cat6 cabling per requirements.
• Install and support racks, patch panels, switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Provide daily field tech support for POS, kiosks, workstations, printers, and peripherals.
• Desk-side support for desktops, laptops, and mobile devices; imaging and deployment duties.
• Assist with workstation setup, hardware replacement, and account/password tasks.
• Troubleshoot cabling, connectivity, and end-user tech issues; document results.
• Follow wiring diagrams, port maps, and project procedures; use deployment tools as needed.
• Coordinate with customers, site contacts, and project teams; complete tickets and docs on time.
