Job summary

UL Solutions in Appleton, WI, is seeking a Field Engineering/Audit & Inspections professional to perform performance testing, inspections, and certification tasks for automotive fire apparatus and related equipment. You will analyze test results, ensure compliance with UL standards, and document findings using UL forms.

The role requires English fluency, strong mechanical/electrical aptitude, and the ability to work both independently and with teams across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English is required.
• Completed NDT Classroom Training in MT, VT and UT with Level II experience.
• Candidate must possess a strong mechanical/electrical aptitude and technical ability.
• Strong verbal communications skills, and client-interfacing skills.
• Ability to work outside throughout the year and inside production facilities for weld fabrication and assembly is required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in confined spaces and elevated areas; verify torque on mounting bolts.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety and non-safety certification inspections against UL requirements.
• Interpreting examination and test results; verifying calibration of measuring equipment.
• Document examination, variations and test results on UL forms; communicate with manufacturers and customers.
• Travel to client locations in Northeast Wisconsin; based in Appleton, WI area.
