Job summary

RESA Power, LLC is seeking a Service Field Tech - Medium Voltage Cable Termination/Splicer to support field operations across the US. The role involves installing, splicing, and terminating MV shielded cable systems (5kV to 35kV) on customer sites, with frequent travel.

You will perform splicing and termination, conduct electrical tests, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain thorough test reports. Travel may be required for multi-day assignments; safety and teamwork are emphasized.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED and a minimum of 1 year of experience in a related field.
• Experience in cable termination and splicing required.
• Able to use specialized tools for cable splicing and termination.
• Knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, IEEE and NETA standards.
• Proven mechanical skills with low/high voltage equipment.
• Strong problem-solving and data entry abilities.
• Effective oral and written communication; able to work in a team.
• Customer-focused with ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects.
• Valid driver's license for company vehicle positions.

Responsibilities

• Perform splicing and termination of shielded medium voltage power cables using hand-applied tape, separable connectors, pre-molded, heat-shrink, and cold-shrink technologies.
• Ensure secure connections to support the reliable operation of electrical systems.
• Conduct electrical testing on spliced cables to verify functionality and adherence to industry standards.
• Ensure the quality of work meets regulatory and company quality standards.
• Troubleshoot, test, maintain, redesign, rebuild, retrofit, and/or repair electrical equipment as assigned.
• Observe safety rules and report problems to management.
• Complete test reports to company and customer timelines.
• Maintain accurate documentation, walk sites, and expand project scopes as needed.
• Travel away from home location for multiple days/weeks as required.
• Work with a team to complete field and shop assignments.
