Job summary

FirstEnergy seeks an IT Application Configuration Analyst to support, enhance, and deploy mobile field workers’ applications and network connectivity. You will work on Field Mobility Systems, Fleet management, GPS asset tracking, and remote work execution systems across multiple locations as needed.

The role emphasizes developing interfaces, debugging issues, coordinating with vendors, and maintaining documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer/Management Information Systems, a related degree, or commensurate experience.
• Minimum 2-4 years related experience.
• Experience with Oracle and SQL databases; develop SQL Queries, Stored Procedures, Packages, and Views.
• Experience with APIs, REST web services, and integration methods.
• Experience on Windows Servers, Linux and/or UNIX; Power Platform, Active Directory, and scripting is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate in virtual environments.
• Willingness for 7x24 after-hours support.

Responsibilities

• Learn and understand the business processes of supported applications.
• Develop application interfaces, maintain reports, and vendor packages.
• Design data flows and interfaces for complex integrations.
• Create technical designs meeting business needs and strategic direction.
• Follow IT Change Management and Incident ticket processes.
• Work on cross-functional IT projects and deliver high-quality results.
• Manage mobile deployment of 2500+ Field worker computers and network solutions.
• Document processes and create clear product documentation.
