J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. is seeking a Mobile Technician II to service tractors, trailers, and power equipment in the field using our mobile service truck. This role operates at customer sites or rail yards under routine supervision.

The position requires mechanical skill, ability to work outdoors, and willingness to work nights or weekends if needed. It includes a sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits as part of a full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in semi-tractor or semi-trailer maintenance and repair.
• Clean motor vehicle record per JB Hunt guidelines.
• Own basic tools or participate in toolbox purchase program.
• Willingness to work outdoors and across multiple shifts, including nights/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform intermediate maintenance and repairs on tractors and trailers, including tires, brakes, electrical diagnostics and basic structural work.
• Troubleshoot and repair ABS system.
• Operate mobile service truck and manage truck inventory.
• Assist with onboarding and mentorship of technician trainees.
• Follow safety requirements on site and at customer locations.
• Complete work orders and written materials per procedures.
