Job summary

United Companies East is seeking a Mobile Mechanic to inspect, repair, and maintain construction equipment across job sites in Colorado. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and efficient troubleshooting in a dynamic field setting.

You'll service heavy equipment, perform preventive maintenance, read manuals, and document repairs in the CMMS. A valid High School diploma or GED and 2–5 years of related experience are preferred; a Class A CDL is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 2–5 years of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots problems, making economical and durable repairs.
• Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts using hoists and hand tools.
• Maintains and repairs heavy equipment, trucks, shop, and non-mobile equipment on a company-wide basis.
• Services vehicles/equipment including oil changes, greasing, adding fluids, changing filters and maintenance schedules.
• Troubleshoots and repairs electrical and hydraulic systems, diesel and gasoline engines, transmissions, drive trains, etc.
• Orders parts and supplies. Maintains purchase orders and invoices. Operates computer for job functions.
• Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
• Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
• Starts devices to test their performance.
• Welds broken parts and structural members.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area.
• Maintains organized paperwork such as DVIR sign offs and ADOT inspections.
