Job summary

Tracey Road Equipment, Inc. is a Field/Mobile Diesel Technician position based in Syracuse, NY. The job offers full-time hours, a day shift, and hourly pay from $25 to $40. You will diagnose, repair, and overhaul heavy diesel trucks and travel to offsite locations as needed.

Responsibilities include maintenance, testing, welding and soldering, and repairing sub-assemblies while following procedures. A valid driver’s license and PPE are required, with competitive benefits provided.

Qualifications

• Diagnose, repair, and overhaul heavy diesel trucks.
• Test equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufactures’ specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance, such as cleaning and lubricating, on equipment and vehicles.
• Weld or solder broken parts and structural members, using electric or gas welders and soldering tools.
• Adjust, maintain, and repair or replace sub-assemblies such as transmission and crawler heads using hand tools, jacks, and cranes.
• Works in the field, traveling to offsite locations.

Position: Mobile Diesel Technician
Location: East Syracuse, NY
Salary: $25-$40 per hour
Job Type: Full-time, Day Shift

• Diagnose, repair, and overhaul heavy diesel trucks.
• Test equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufactures’ specifications.

Skills:

• Ability to use appropriate power and hand-held tools and diagnostic equipment to repair, replace and test equipment
• Working knowledge of electrical systems
• Ability to work independently with minimum direction
• Ability to read and comprehend diagnostic service information
• Ability to gather date, compile information, and prepare routine paperwork
• Ability to understand directions and follow standard operating procedures
• Must have a valid drivers license with clean driving record
