Job summary

You will plan and schedule work, coordinate safety activities to meet MSHA standards, ensure efficient operations, and perform administrative duties such as time records and performance reviews.

Knowledge of MSHA regulations, strong communication, and ability to lead crews in rotating shifts are essential;

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience or training required; MSHA IS certification a plus.
• 3–5 years of related mining supervision experience; college degree may substitute for up to 3 years.
• Vocational technical training and/or 3–5 years of surface mining experience may be required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities of operators and maintenance staff to meet production.
• Plan and schedule work using personnel, materials, and equipment.
• Coordinate safety training and MSHA compliance.
• Ensure safe, efficient work environment and environmental standards.
• Maintain time records and assess performance including attendance.
• Coordinate with other departments to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
• Maintain productivity records for schedules and equipment availability.
• Follow MSHA laws, safety procedures, and environmental regulations.
• Provide high-level training on equipment to meet MSHA requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
