Job summary

MetroPower is seeking a Millwright to install, maintain, repair, and align mechanical equipment across construction sites in Albany, GA. The role requires reading blueprints, dismantling and reassembling machinery, and traveling between sites to support projects.

Ideal candidates have 4 years of related experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver's license. Emphasis on safety, teamwork, and precise workmanship is essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or equivalent) required.
• 4 years of previous, related work experience required.
• Current Driver's License and have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Install, modify, and repair mechanical systems, equipment, and machinery in alignment with project specifications and industry standards.
• Dismantle and reassemble mechanical equipment as needed for repair, relocation, or maintenance.
• Transport equipment to and from job sites, ensuring safety and minimizing risk of contamination or workplace hazards.
• Construct solid foundations and secure mounting for machines on-site.
• Align, level, and calibrate machinery and components to ensure proper functionality, performance, and safety.
• Perform diagnostic troubleshooting to identify root causes of mechanical issues and implement effective solutions.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and repair drawings related to construction equipment and mechanical systems.
• Work under general supervision to carry out assigned tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Pre-plan and identify the methods to eliminate hazards daily by work task.
• Execute skill in observing habits and hazards of others and bringing it to their attention.
• Uphold safety as the most important goal of our company. Support goal of achieving zero accidents.
• Promote and encourage open communication between field and office regarding all safety concerns, suggestions, improvements, and PPE needed.
• Obtain safety training as expected by all company personnel.
