Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Industrial Electronics/Electricity or equivalent education/experience including basic electrical theory
• Previous metering, meter reading, or instrumentation experience

Responsibilities

• Installs, removes, and changes single phase and polyphase self-contained watthour meters
• Reads watthour demand meters
• Programs and reads solid state watthour meters
• Pre-wires metering devices under direction of a qualified employee
• Examines indicating instruments and test devices
• Tests installations for compliance with company requirements and energy diversion
• Accesses online customer records, meter tracking, and other databases to obtain information
• Completes necessary paperwork
