Job summary

The Nexus Water Group is seeking a Field Tech I to accurately read and record water meters to support customer billing and identify equipment issues. You will travel between Reno-area service locations, perform on-site meter maintenance, and document field activities in our systems.

Monday–Friday schedule with potential on-call duties. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of mechanical work experience, a High school Diploma or GED, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or GED.
• Must maintain a valid driver's license.
• Water meter reading experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
• Document customer interaction and Field Activities in CC&B.
• Act as liaison between customers and customer service for problem resolution.
• Respond to inquiries regarding meter reading schedule, billing, and related matters.
• Assist with maintenance of mechanical, electrical and piping systems.
