Job summary

Duke Energy in Cincinnati seeks a Meter Tester's Assistant to perform field-based electrical meter maintenance, testing, and service activity at customer sites. You will handle meter installations, readings, and related tasks under close supervision, ensuring accuracy and safety.

Ideal candidates demonstrate the ability to follow procedures, use basic hand tools, operate a truck and equipment, and comply with company policies.

Qualifications

• Ability to learn and apply safety rules and regulations.
• Capable of performing manual labor and lifting up to 70 lbs.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and pass the driver examination.
• Able to climb and work from a 24-foot extension ladder.
• Ability to read and interpret meter data and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine meter testing and maintenance.
• Install and replace meters and related hardware.
• Reconnect/disconnect electric service as needed.
• Operate delivery/truck to job sites and handle equipment.
• Keep accurate records of readings, equipment, and inventory.
