FirstEnergy Corp, via Potomac Edison, is hiring a Meter Reader to accurately read customer meters and report any diversion or irregularities. You will deliver notices and interact with customers in a field setting.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license with a clean record, and the ability to drive and walk in all weather and on varied terrain. You must own an AWD/4WD vehicle for mileage reimbursement and communicate effectively.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and an excellent driving record.
• Ability to safely drive and walk in all types of weather over all types of terrain.
• Must possess and use an all-wheel or four-wheel drive vehicle to read meters (eligible for mileage reimbursement).
• Ability to successfully deal with customers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Working overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Accurately reading meters installed on customer premises, including visually checking for and reporting service diversion and metering irregularities.
