Job summary

NextPlay Recruitment is hiring on behalf of a client in payment processing for a Merchant Services Representative in the Houston area. You meet with local business owners, review how they take payments today, and set them up with a simpler, lower-cost option.

There is no office. You plan your week from home and spend the rest of it meeting owners at their businesses. Pay is performance-based, with bonuses for strong months. Sales experience helps, but it is not required.

Qualifications

• Friendly, confident, and comfortable meeting new people.
• Able to explain fees and numbers in plain terms.
• Organized and great at follow-up.
• Customer service, retail, hospitality, or sales experience is a plus.
• Reliable transportation, plus a computer and internet at home.

Responsibilities

• Head to appointments already booked for you with local owners.
• Follow up on new leads and referrals from happy clients.
• Review each owner's current payment setup and show them a smarter option.
• Prepare quotes and help owners sign on.
• Guide new merchants through setup and stay their go-to contact.
