Job summary

United Natural Foods, Inc. (UNFI) is seeking a Retail Merchandiser to provide consistent service at a designated Washington, DC location. Responsibilities include stocking shelves, executing planograms, supporting store resets, and driving promotional initiatives within assigned customer locations.

The role requires reading planograms, visiting retailers on schedule, and maintaining business relations with customers and UNFI stakeholders. Local candidates preferred with a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year related experience in Retail or Distribution.
• Prior customer service experience in a retail setting.
• Food related product experience desired.
• Valid Driver’s License is necessary.
• Auto Insurance levels that meet UNFI requirements.

Responsibilities

• Read and implement planograms in store; adjust sections as needed.
• Visit retailers on Home Store or Field Sales program and provide feedback.
• Rotate stock; remove out-of-code products; process returns per policy.
• Interpret internal reports and complete required paperwork on time.
• Drive sales through merchandising and promotional programs.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers and UNFI stakeholders via in-person, phone, and email interactions.
