Job summary

EmblemHealth in New York, NY is seeking a full-time Community Health Sales Specialist to drive enrollment in Medicaid, Essential Plan, QHP and CHP products through direct sales and community engagement.

You will conduct home visits, collect required documents, and maintain relationships with community organizations while meeting enrollment targets and reporting all activity in Salesforce.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.

• Works independently and produces Self-Generated leads.

• Successful completion of annual product training and testing to maintain regulatory certification.

Responsibilities

• Present to, follow up and sell Individual Medicaid, Essential Plan, QHP and CHP products on a direct sales basis.
• Assist and enroll individuals by completing the appropriate application forms, obtain required documentation for enrollment, and meeting enrollment targets.
• Conduct home visits and other appointments to complete the application and obtain documentation.
• Maintain appointments, develop community marketing sites, establish relationships with community based organizations, participate in health-related activities and events, create self-generated leads, and provide services to walk-ins.
• Stimulates word-of-mouth referrals from participants, prospects and families.
• Refer all existing members up for recertification to Retention Specialist when applicable.
• Perform recertification activities when necessary.
• Liaise between EmblemHealth departments to identify and resolve issues; work with Neighborhood care team to uphold EmblemHealth’s image as a high-quality, affordable health plan.
• Assist members with selecting a PCP using the provider directory.
• Present EmblemHealth insurance products and benefits to community groups, small businesses and other subscribers.
• Develop and execute sales plans to grow enrollments; on-site coverage at hospitals, offices, city agencies, partners and CBOs; log all activity in Salesforce.
