Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Field Mechanical Technician (Technical Operations Engineer) in Costa Mesa to deploy and support defense products worldwide. You will work with engineering teams to improve systems, coach teammates, and guide users through setup and troubleshooting.

The role requires climbing towers, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, and travel up to two months per year. A U.S. Top Secret/Secret clearance is eligible, and relocation to Costa Mesa is expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience solving problems in unstructured environments at hardware/software/networking interfaces.
• Ability to climb towers to install, maintain, and repair sensor equipment and components including cameras, radars, and PTU.
• Strong mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and repair site infrastructure including generators and solar power systems.
• Experience with preventative maintenance on tower structures and safety elements.
• Experience operating aerial lifts and forklifts.
• Willingness to travel to remote regions up to two months at a time (≥50% of year) and relocate to Costa Mesa, CA.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret/Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support military defense projects by executing technical operations, field maintenance, and training.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and networking issues in unstructured environments to resolution.
• Communicate field issue status to internal and customer teams.
• Develop and implement operational and logistical plans for events.
• Ensure high availability and performance of defense systems.
• Maintain hardware and software support plans.
• Assist in event planning and resource allocation for Technical Operations.
• Conduct RCAs for defense systems and implement preventive measures.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation.
