Job summary

Anduril Industries seeks a Field Mechanical Technician (Tech Operations Engineer) in Costa Mesa to deploy and support defense products worldwide. You will guide users through operation and troubleshooting, work with engineering to iteratively improve systems, and coach teammates on new platforms.

You will travel globally, perform field maintenance, and collaborate with account managers on deployment success while ensuring system performance and documentation are up to date.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience solving problems at the hardware-software-networking interface.
• Ability to climb towers to install and repair sensor equipment including cameras, radars and PTUs.
• Mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and repair site infrastructure (generators, solar, hydraulics).
• Experience with preventative maintenance on towers and structural components (guy wires, anchors, lightning protection).
• Experience operating aerial lifts and forklifts.
• Willingness to travel up to 2 months at a time and relocate onsite to Costa Mesa, CA.
• Eligible for U.S. Top Secret/Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Execute field operations and provide customer field support and training.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and networking issues in unstructured environments.
• Communicate field issue status to internal and customer teams.
• Develop and implement operational/logistical plans for events and deployments.
• Maintain high availability of defense systems and update documentation.
• Support planning and allocation of resources for Technical Operations.
