Job summary

Odyssey Information Services, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 3–10 years of experience to support reliability and mechanical integrity of static equipment in an industrial/process plant environment. This hands-on role focuses on troubleshooting, inspections, and repair planning.

You will work on pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, piping and fixed equipment, perform field walkdowns and coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, and contractors to implement repair actions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3–10 years of mechanical engineering experience in an industrial environment (petrochemical, refining, LNG, chemical, power).
• Experience with static/fixed equipment, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, and piping systems.
• Familiarity with ASME Section VIII, ASME B31.3, API 510/570/579/653/660/661, and TEMA.
• Ability to interpret P&IDs, equipment drawings, piping isometrics, inspection reports, and repair documentation.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and field engineering skills.

Responsibilities

• Support pressure vessels, heat exchangers, air-cooled heat exchangers, tanks, piping, and other fixed equipment.
• Troubleshoot leaks, corrosion, vibration, fatigue, thermal movement, and other equipment issues.
• Review inspection/NDE results and develop repair or continued-service recommendations.
• Support pipe stress, piping vibration, thermal growth, and flexibility evaluations.
• Develop repair scopes, engineering recommendations, and MOC documentation.
