Job summary

Alamo Cement Company in San Antonio, TX seeks a Mechanical Site Engineer to provide on-site mechanical engineering oversight for CAPEX projects, from constructability reviews through start-up and turnover. You will work closely with management, operations, and contractors to ensure safe, compliant installation and timely project delivery.

The ideal candidate brings 5–8 years of relevant experience, strong field presence, and a hands-on problem-solving approach.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
  • 5–8 years of mechanical engineering, project engineering, and industrial construction experience.
  • Experience with mechanical equipment installation, heavy equipment, conveyors, or piping.
  • Experience coordinating with contractors, equipment suppliers, and project teams.
  • Experience supporting mechanical completion, commissioning, and startup.
  • Brownfield plant experience desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Provide site-based mechanical engineering support for CAPEX projects at the ACC plant.
  • Oversee construction, commissioning, start-up, and turnover activities.
  • Review drawings, vendor docs, and installation for constructability and field execution.
  • Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and vendors for safe, timely execution.
