Job summary

MYR Group Inc. is seeking a Field Mechanic to support our field teams by performing maintenance, preventive maintenance, and repairs on fleet equipment across the service area.

This role requires local travel mainly in Iowa with occasional overnight stays; you will respond to emergencies outside regular hours and may work weekends and holidays.

A company vehicle, fuel card, and lodging are provided; the main office is located in Marshalltown, IA.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of experience in general mobile heavy truck or equipment repair.
• Vocational/Technical program or apprenticeship in vehicle/equipment repair.
• Must be capable of operating company vehicles and have proper licensing.

Responsibilities

• Perform servicing and repairs on fleet equipment per guidelines.
• Travel to customer sites for repair/maintenance; keep vehicle clean.
• Oversee less experienced mechanics when assigned.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
• Maintain records of time, materials, conditions, and repairs.
• Record data in computer systems; complete repair orders and timesheets.
• Conduct safety inspections and stay compliant with regulations.
• Attend training and hazardous materials training as required.
• Handle overtime and after-hours emergencies as required.
