Primoris Services Corporation in the Tampa Bay area is seeking experienced Field Mechanics to inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair company vehicles, trucks, trailers, and heavy construction equipment in the field.

You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose issues, respond to field service calls, document work, and coordinate with fleet operations while following safety policies.

Qualifications

• Experience as Field Mechanic or similar role preferred.
• Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and perform repairs independently.

Job Overview

We are continuously seeking experienced Field Mechanics to support our operations throughout the Tampa Bay area. This evergreen posting is intended to build a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future Field Mechanic opportunities as business needs arise. Field Mechanics are responsible for inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing company vehicles, trucks, trailers, heavy equipment, and construction equipment in the field.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles and heavy equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel-related issues.
• Respond to field service calls and perform repairs at job sites.
• Inspect equipment to identify maintenance or safety concerns.
• Maintain service and repair documentation.
• Coordinate with fleet and field operations regarding equipment repairs and downtime.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Field Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Mechanic, or similar role.
• Experience working with diesel engines, trucks, trailers, and construction equipment.
• Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and perform repairs independently.
• Valid driver's license.
• CDL and/or relevant mechanical certifications are a plus.
• Ability to travel throughout the Tampa Bay area as needed.
