Job summary

Primoris T&D Services, LLC is seeking a Shop Mechanic I/II to perform quality repairs and diagnostics in a shop environment. The role requires adherence to safety rules, proper use of hand and power tools, and close collaboration with the supervisor to meet project specifications.

Ideal candidates hold a High School Diploma or GED, plus two-year technical training in auto/truck/heavy equipment; ASE or Fluid Power certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required or desired; two-year tech/vocational or trade school in auto/truck/heavy equipment preferred.
• Fluid Power Society and/or ASE certifications are desirable
• Ability to use electronic diagnostic equipment and perform major/minor repairs to electrical, hydraulic, air conditioning, gasoline and diesel systems.

Responsibilities

• Follow verbal and written instructions and safety rules.
• Safely use hand and power tools and perform quality work per project specs.
• Report to and assist the immediate supervisor.
• Maintain accountability for all tools and materials at end of shift.
• Work well both in a team and independently with minimal supervision.

In this case, this position may involve some overnight travel as well as travel out of state and the employee will be expected to travel as needs and job requirements dictate.Employee will be expected to work overtime as the company determines based upon job requirements.Individual selected must be able to work in a team environment as well as independently with minimal supervision.Candidate must be highly motivated and customer service driven.Demands of this position will change often and work assignment will be dynamic.
