Job summary

Empire Southwest is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to inspect, diagnose, repair, and service Caterpillar and allied equipment in the field. You will prepare equipment for delivery and provide clear written and verbal reports on issues and recommendations.

You will travel to remote sites, work overtime as required, and maintain strong client relations while adhering to safety policies and company procedures.

Qualifications

• Must have a High school diploma or GED.
• Current driver’s license is required.
• DOT licensing, medical card, and endorsements as vehicle size dictates.
• Minimum of 6 months related field experience.
• Ability to communicate in English (speaking, reading, writing).

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions and failures.
• Repair, recondition, and maintain equipment and components.
• Prepare service reports and document observations.
• Plan and control cost of repair jobs.
• Travel to remote locations; work overtime as needed.
