Job summary

Empire Southwest is seeking a Field Service Technician to repair, recondition, and service Caterpillar and allied machines in the field. Responsibilities include troubleshooting equipment, preparing service reports, and communicating with clients and management about repairs and recommendations.

The role requires DOT licensing, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work in various weather conditions. Occasional overnight travel to remote sites is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current driver’s license.
• DOT licensing, medical card, and endorsements as vehicle size dictates.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions and failures.
• Repair, recondition, and maintain equipment and components.
• Prepare service reports and document work performed.
• Plan and control cost of repair jobs and communicate progress to management.
• Travel to remote locations as needed and work overtime as required.
