Job summary

Capitol Aggregates, a division of Zachry, seeks a Field Mechanic PM Tech 1 to inspect, maintain, and repair mobile and support equipment across plant locations. Travel to multiple sites is required, and you will service heavy and light equipment, engines, air compressors, pumps, lifts, and related systems while upholding safety standards.

You will perform preventive maintenance, collect oil samples, document results, and complete checklists with accuracy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required, associate degree in Diesel Mechanics preferred.
• CDL Class A license is required.
• Proficient with computers and diagnostic software for troubleshooting.
• Ability to collect oil samples and operate service trucks in heavy traffic.

Responsibilities

• Travel to assigned plant locations to complete preventive maintenance and service work.
• Perform routine service on on-road and off-road equipment.
• Maintain and inspect equipment such as loaders, bulldozers, trucks, and lifts.
• Collect oil samples, document results, and submit samples for testing.
• Complete inspection checklists and maintenance documentation accurately.
• Identify and perform minor repairs found during inspections.
• Keep equipment and work areas clean and comply with safety regulations.
• Support safety and company policies across sites.
