The Middlesex Corporation in Littleton, MA is seeking a Field Mechanic to diagnose, maintain, and repair heavy construction equipment both in the shop and on job sites. This role requires independent problem-solving, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety to keep machines running and projects on schedule.

Competenze

• Minimum of 5 years of experience working on construction equipment.
• Proven ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred).
• Must have personal tools suitable for the job.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including adapting to changing priorities.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
• Must possess the ability to adapt to different personalities and management styles.
• Work well as a team player and with strong interpersonal skills.
• Self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Mansioni

• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in large and small construction equipment, both on-road and off-road.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and enhance equipment reliability.
• Complete minor welding tasks as needed.
• Provide on-site repairs to equipment, ensuring minimal disruption to project schedules.
• Accurately fill out daily work orders and reports.
• Submit approved parts request forms as required.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and use proper PPE at all times.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
