Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Mechanic to support our field service teams. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on a diverse equipment fleet, prioritizing safety and efficiency.

This role offers growth opportunities within service or operations management and exposure to a broad range of equipment. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of mechanic experience with diesel or heavy equipment, plus skills in hydraulic and electrical systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some trade training preferred.
• 3–5 years of mechanic experience with diesel/heavy equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on a variety of equipment.
• Perform diagnostics and repair to minimize downtime.
• Ensure work is performed safely and in compliance with procedures.
• Maintain tools and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate with team to support service and operations goals.
