Job summary

Penhall Company seeks a skilled Mechanic to maintain and repair a range of construction equipment and small tools. You will perform preventative maintenance, handle repairs, and keep detailed service logs, with a service truck provided for field support.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of hands-on experience, diesel/electrical/hydraulic system training, and welding skills (MIG/TIG/ARC). Diamond blade equipment experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in construction equipment maintenance and repair.
• Technical training or certification in diesel, electrical, or hydraulic systems preferred.
• Experience with diamond blade equipment is a plus.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and organized working environment in compliance with company safety standards.
• Ensure high-quality workmanship and maintain a high level of equipment readiness.
• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on a variety of industrial construction equipment (diesel and gas-powered); service truck provided.
• Maintain accurate maintenance schedules and detailed service records for all company equipment and tools.
• Support equipment repair and fabrication through basic to advanced welding techniques (MIG, TIG, ARC).
• Monitor parts and supply inventory to maintain adequate stock levels and control costs.
• Coordinate with outside specialty shops for specialized or time-sensitive repairs.
• Serve as a technical resource to advise when equipment should be removed from service.
• Track and report warranty claims to the Asset Manager for timely processing.
