Job summary

Linetec is hiring a skilled mechanic in Lithia Springs, GA. You will apply mechanical knowledge to repair and maintain trucks and equipment, perform welding, and coordinate with a team to ensure timely, safe repairs.

You should have a high school diploma or GED, be safety conscious, and be willing to travel to job sites. CDL is strongly preferred or obtainable within 60 days of hire. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must meet Mechanic level I requirements.
• CDL strongly preferred or ability to acquire CDL within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic welding tasks.
• Repair, overhaul and replace major truck and automobile components.
• Communicate with team about broken equipment, repairs, timelines and costs.
• Service equipment when returned from a job site.
• Make major and minor repairs to equipment.
• Maintain log books of repairs.
• Complete required company training, including safety training.
• Perform Administrative and Lineman duties as required.
• Travel to job sites to make repairs as needed.
