Basic Description
- Repair mobile equipment
- Report equipment failures
- Troubleshoot and analyze equipment malfunction
- Perform maintenance and repairs on various heavy equipment
- Read and implement mobile equipment maintenance manuals
- Identify required repair parts and supplies
- Document using the required forms of the maintenance and repair work performed
- Remove and replace major equipment components
- Determine nature and extent of equipment failures
- Record parts and supply usage
- Perform all work in accordance with Brandenburg's environmental and safety policies
Essential Job Functions
- Regular and predictable performance
- Ability to work productively in personal protective equipment throughout work shift in all weather conditions
- Agility to access and repair components on heavy equipment
- Agility to climb onto, into and out of equipment using ladder
- Agility to walk and work on uneven surfaces
- Ability to climb, kneel, stoop, bend, lift, push/pull and/or reach frequently
- Agility, bodily coordination and dexterity of hands and feet
- Pulmonary fitness for respirator
- Ability to work with hazardous materials
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates must have a HS Diploma or equivalent, 3-5 years heavy equipment repair experience
Position Requirements
- Commercial Driver's License or the ability to obtain
- Ability to pass a DOT Physical
- Candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to collaborate and the flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment
Employment Type
Full-time hourly position
Travel
This is a field-based position assigned from either our Pennsylvania or Indiana division with up to 95% travel.
Base Pay
Hourly rate; Health & Fringe benefits per Collective Bargaining Agreement.
