Job summary

Avir Trilogy is seeking a Field Clinical Reimbursement Coordinator to provide hands-on MDS, reimbursement, documentation, and education support for skilled nursing facilities across the market.

The role requires four on-site facility days weekly, extensive travel, and the ability to rapidly assess facility needs and drive process improvements with interdisciplinary teams across multiple facilities.

Qualifications

• Current RN or LVN/LPN license in good standing.
• Minimum 2-3 years of skilled nursing MDS experience.
• Strong working knowledge of the MDS 3.0 and RAI Manual.
• Working knowledge of Medicare Part A and PDPM.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation-review skills.
• Ability to independently manage an MDS schedule and assessment process.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Travel extensively with four facility-facing days per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct MDS and clinical reimbursement support to assigned facilities.
• Complete and/or assist with MDS assessments as needed.
• Review assessments for accuracy and documentation.
• Support Medicare Part A and PDPM processes.
• Review resident information to identify reimbursement opportunities.
• Assist with acuity capture and Case Mix Index management.
• Provide temporary MDS coverage during staffing disruptions.
• Ensure ongoing regulatory compliance during transitions.
• Conduct focused MDS and reimbursement audits as directed by management.
• Mentor and educate newly hired MDS Coordinators.
