Job summary

WSB is seeking a CMT Technician in Tampa, FL to support field testing, soil and concrete sampling, data collection, and reporting under engineering supervision. You will set up and calibrate equipment, maintain logs, and ensure materials meet project specifications.

The role is primarily outdoors, may require travel within the territory, and occasional night work to meet deadlines. A high school diploma and 1+ year FDOT field technician experience are required; relevant certifications are

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years of FDOT field technician experience required.
• Travel and on-site work may be required.
• Must be able to work onsite at a WSB office when needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform field tests according to prescribed procedures and standards.
• Collect soil and concrete samples, prepare samples for testing, record data, and prepare summary reports.
• Set up, maintain, and calibrate equipment.
• Inspect construction activities and monitor contractor work.
• Maintain results logs and conduct visual assessments of quality and safety.
• Collaborate with Engineering staff on test efforts.
• Travel within assigned territory and communicate with clients/subcontractors.
• Move materials and operate equipment as required.
